Welcome

US born but many years in Australia, Louisa Wise is an award-winning fiddler, songwriter and tunesmith. On fiddle, guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, piano, mouthbow, spoons and other smalls, her repertoire of original contemporary folk songs and tunes tell stories of life in Australia and beyond.

Louisa's latest album "INTO THE WIND" was released in 2017, recorded and produced with Luke Plumb, mixed and mastered by Mischa Herman. 'Right across the board the playing has been fantastic and her songs have been great to work with. Go Louisa! She’s a force to be reckoned with."

--From Paul Gough of ABC Radio National: That beautiful track is from Louisa Wise from her album Sweet Birds. Louisa Wise is of course a wonderful multi-instrumentalist..Certainly I would look out for this great CD..."

I followed your link on a post on the Growing Up In Chillicothe Facebook page. I grew up in a musical family. I am still a weekend singer in a cover band. Your music is beautiful. You are truly another great talent from my world. Like a man with the same monogram as me used to say; "Keep a song in your heart.".

Louisa's songs are so deeply felt and thoughtful. They are story-telling set to melody. I love listening to them.

I have just spent the weekend 12-14 October, at the Nanga Music Festival in the Jarrah forest at Dwellingup Western Australia. Louisa was one of the featured artists, and she was magnificent. Her fiddle playing touches my heart. The music just flows through her fingers and Louisa has the soul of a true artist. I thoroughly recommend anyone in the USA who has an opportunity to see Louisa, make the effort to get to one of her concerts. When you see and hear her playing, you will know what I mean.
